DMCA Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Overview

SlateRiver LLC (operating the Noo World Discovery Platform) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users and linked platforms to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

If you believe that content available through this Platform infringes your copyright, please follow the procedure set forth below to submit a notice of infringement.

2. Designated Copyright Agent

Our designated agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement is:

SlateRiver LLC — Copyright Agent
Email: legal@thenooworld.com
Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice — [Your Name]

Only DMCA notices should be sent to this address. For general inquiries, use our contact form.

3. Takedown Process

Upon receipt of a valid notice of copyright infringement, SlateRiver LLC will act expeditiously to:

  1. Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
  2. Notify the user or party who posted the material (if applicable) that the content has been removed
  3. Provide the notifying party with confirmation of receipt and action taken

We will complete this process as quickly as reasonably practicable after receipt of a valid notice.

4. Notice Requirements

To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are covered)
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including its URL or sufficient information to locate it on the Platform
  4. Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed

Notices that do not meet these requirements may not receive a response or may result in delayed action.

5. Counter-Notice

If you believe that material you posted was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our Designated Agent. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you consent to jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or New Mexico if your address is outside the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward a copy to the original complainant and may reinstate the removed material within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files an action seeking a court order.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to terminate the accounts or access of users who are repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is any user who has been notified of infringing activity more than twice and/or whose content has been removed from the Platform on more than one occasion.

7. Good Faith & Misrepresentation

Please be aware that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney's fees.

We strongly encourage rights owners to consider whether use of the material constitutes fair use before submitting a notice.
